Cancel difficulty: Easy

Menulog closed permanently in Australia on 26 November 2025. The app, website, and all services (including Menulog Plus) stopped operating on that date. If you're reading this, you probably spotted a charge on your bank statement and want to know what's going on.

If you're still seeing Menulog charges

Menulog should have cancelled all active subscriptions when it shut down. But payment systems aren't perfect, and some recurring charges can slip through. If you're seeing a Menulog charge dated after 26 November 2025:

  1. Check the charge date carefully. If it's from before the closure, it's a legitimate charge for when the service was still running. No refund applies.
  2. Contact your bank or card provider. Since Menulog no longer has an active support team, your bank is your best option. Explain that the service has ceased operating and request a chargeback for any post-closure charges.
  3. Email Menulog's residual support. The address help@menulog.com.au may still be monitored for order-related issues, but don't count on a quick response.
  4. Dispute through the ACCC if your bank can't resolve it. Lodge a complaint at accc.gov.au.

What happened to Menulog?

Menulog was owned by Just Eat Takeaway (a European food delivery company) and had been operating in Australia for about 20 years. In November 2025, Just Eat Takeaway decided to pull out of Australia, citing "challenging circumstances." The closure was announced on 12 November, and the platform stopped accepting orders on 26 November, giving customers and restaurants just two weeks' notice.

The Australian food delivery market is now dominated by Uber Eats and DoorDash. If you were using Menulog Plus for free delivery, the closest equivalents are:

Both come with their own cancellation quirks, so check those guides before signing up for another delivery subscription you might forget about.

Unused credits and vouchers

Menulog promised to honour any unused account credits and vouchers for two weeks after the closure announcement (until late November 2025). That window has long passed. If you had credits that went unused, there's no way to redeem them now.

Menulog's gone, but how many other subscriptions are still quietly running? One fewer app doesn't mean one fewer charge.

Most people find 3-5 subscriptions they forgot about when they actually look. Upload a bank statement to Subtracker and see every recurring charge in 2 minutes. No bank login. No manual entry. $12.99 once.
