Cancelling Kayo should be simple, but the account management has moved to Hubbl (Foxtel's streaming platform) and the cancel flow is genuinely confusing. Some users have reported the cancel button being hidden behind an "Add Subscription" screen. Here's how to actually get it done.
How to cancel (direct billing)
If you pay Kayo directly with a card, you cancel through Hubbl's website:
- Go to kayosports.com.au and log in
- Click your profile icon (top right) and select My Account
- You'll be redirected to hubbl.com.au/my-account
- Under My Subscriptions, find Kayo and click Cancel
- Review the changes summary, click Complete, then Confirm
- Check your email for an "Order Confirmation" from Hubbl (check spam)
After cancelling, Kayo will appear greyed out in your account with a date showing when your access ends.
Some users report the Cancel button doesn't appear at all. Instead, you have to go to Add Subscription, find Kayo already selected, deselect it, then go through a "checkout" flow that actually processes the cancellation. Multiple Reddit users have called this out as deliberately deceptive UX. If you can't find a cancel button, try this path.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Users have reported being charged even when cancelling the day before, due to processing delays.
Cancel if you subscribed through Apple
If you signed up via the App Store, the cancel button on Hubbl will be greyed out. Cancel through Apple instead:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name > Subscriptions
- Find Kayo and tap Cancel Subscription
Cancel if you subscribed through Google Play
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
- Find Kayo Sports and tap Cancel subscription
Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription on either platform.
Cancel if billed through Telstra
You need to cancel through your Telstra account or contact Telstra directly. Kayo can't cancel it for you.
No refunds. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account drops to Kayo Freebies automatically, so you can still watch some free content without paying.
Current pricing (AUD)
Prices increased on 5 February 2026:
| Plan | Price | Streams | Quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard (Kayo One) | $29.99/mo | 1 | HD |
| Premium | $45.99/mo | 2 | 4K + HD |
Premium has gone up 31% in under 12 months ($35 to $45.99). If you only need one screen, Standard saves you $16/month.
Kayo Freebies (the free alternative)
Before you cancel completely, know that Kayo has a free tier called Kayo Freebies. No credit card required.
It includes select live sports, highlights (Kayo Shorts), condensed replays (Kayo Minis), and some on-demand content. You won't get live AFL, NRL, or F1 races, but you can watch things like Super Netball, surfing, some NBL games, and F1 practice sessions.
If you're cancelling because the price is too high but still want some sport, Freebies might be enough.
Worth knowing
- Club membership deals. Some AFL, NRL, and NBA club memberships include 12-month Kayo access for around $250-$350/year, which works out significantly cheaper than paying monthly.
- Retention discounts. When you start the cancel flow, Hubbl may offer you $10-$15 off per month for 6 months. If you want to stay at a lower price, this is a legitimate offer.
- Overseas? Kayo is geo-blocked outside Australia. If you're travelling and need to cancel, you'll have to contact support via chat or email at complaints@kayosports.com.au.
- No phone support. Kayo has no phone number. Your only options are chat and email.
That's one less sports bill. But how many other subscriptions are ticking away?
